Abstract : The direct dependence of the blackening of photographic film by laser radiation on the energy of the laser radiation has been investigated. Blackening from one laser pulse and from two pulses impinging on the same site on the film were measured. It is concluded that a two-photon mechanism is involved in the blackening phenomenon.
