Abstract : In the present paper, the process is studied of the breakdown of polymer chains of polypropylene during its oxidation in the presence of strong antioxidants (IH). The antioxidants were (2,2'-methylene-bis(4-methyl-6-t-butylphenol) (biphenol), 2,2'-thio-bis(4-methyl-6-t-butylphenol) (thiobiphenol), and N-phenyl-N'-cyclohexyl-n-phenylenediamine (diamine).
