Abstract : Electrophoresis in agarose-polyacrylamide gels was used for the study of Newcastle disease virus RNA, Cellular RNA-markers turned out to be very useful for orientation in electrophoregrams of NDV RNA. In spite of the heterogeneity of NDV RNA this method made it possible to find the same kinds of RNA which were found earlier in experiments using centrifugation in sucrose density gradient. Attempts were made to evaluate the molecular weights of various RNAs of NDV. The paper describes the use of agarose-polyacrylamide gels for the study of the RNA of the Newcastle disease virus (NDV).
