Abstract : Recent work in the authors' laboratories has shown that the product previously described as diadrenaline ether is in fact, 6-(3',4'-dihydroxy-alpha-methylaminomethylbenzyl)adrenaline (I). The trivial name adrepine was proposed for this substance (Forrest, Kasparek and others, 1969). It is shown that goods yields of pure adnamine can be obtained by heating (I) above its melting point or in a 10 of HCl solution. (Author)
