Abstract : The study was made to show that hot compression can be described by an equation of the type used in creep studies. That is, it was shown that the temperature dependence of the strain rate in hot working is well-represented by an Arrhenius term, with an activation energy similar to that for creep. Also it was seen that the stress dependence of the strain rate is similar to that for creep. (Author)
