Abstract : The space-time characteristics of coherent clear-sky radar returns, obtained from a layer of the atmosphere 150 m thick, over various time intervals at altitudes from 1 to 2 km are examined. An analysis of the statistical breakdown of the radar returns is made. It is shown that the sizes of the zones of enhanced radar reflectivity are as much as 300 m vertically and 1-6 km horizontally.
