Abstract : A method for reducing the effect of signal-intensity fluctuations on the accuracy of measuring angular coordinates in beam scanning is proposed. The fluctuations are mainly due to time variation in the interference pattern of electromagnetic oscillations reflected from different parts of the aircraft. The angular coordinates are determined using two receiving channels. All compensation operations are performed in the low-frequency part of the receiver. Logarithmic amplifiers with identical logarithmic amplitude characteristics are used.
