Abstract : This review summarizes the data on the distribution and number of muskrats and their epizootiological state in Novosibirsk Oblast from November 1966 to March 1967. The number of the muskrat was very low during this period. Thirty-three foci of epizootics were found. It was revealed that epizootics of 3 areas which include 5 lakes were caused by virus. Tularemia was the cause of epizootics on other lakes, pasteurellosis on one lake and listeriosis on one lake too.
