Abstract : Experiments were set up on 299 white rats to determine hematological indices: number of leukocytes, erythrocytes, and thrombocytes, content of hemoglobin, and percentage of different elements of bone marrow in a myelogram. Conclusions were: (1) ferrocene clearly increases the number of erythrocytes and the content of hemoglobin in the blood; (2) findings point to the expediency of the clinical use of ferrocene jointly with anticarcinogenic preparations, especially with those which have a toxic influence on erythropoiesis and lower the amount of hemoglobin in the blood.
