Abstract : Thermal stability is not just a property of a material, but also depends on the dimensions and the form of articles made from the given material: the thermal stability of articles with identical dimensions according to various directions is higher than with a sharp distinction of these dimensions; the thermal stability of articles of identical form increases with a decrease in the dimensions of article. Thermal stability of titanium carbide alloys with nickel increases with an increase in the content of nickel and with an increase in the sintering point. A pattern in the change of electrical resistance during thermal cycling, was established: the increase in the electrical resistance is proportional to the number of thermal cycles. Thermal stability increases with an increase in the plasticity (decrease of brittleness) of the material. New principles of producing materials for new technology have been developed. (Author)
