Abstract : Mechanical impurities can be effectively removed from the lubricant additive AzNII-7 by centrifugation at 15,000 rpm., but this process has insufficient productivity for industrial use. Thus, repeated centrifugation at 100-110C was recommended using the NOGSh-325 continuous centrifuge at 500-1000 rpm. For the purification of the very viscous additive BFK noncontinuous centrifuges were recommended. The use of a sediment filter was tested for the further purification of BFK. The suspension of the filtration material, usually perlite sand or silica gel, in the mixture of 1 vol. BFK with 2 vols. of oil was flowed under pressure through a stainless steel wire sieve. To achieve the formation of a layer with the suitable porosity on the lattice, the filtration material was added to the purified liquid immediately before contact with the sieve. (Author)
