Abstract : The article discusses the problems involved with wide industrial acceptance of perspective alloys bearing the trademarks B93 and B95 of the Al-Zn-Mg-Cu system. The nature of the alloys demands detailed refinements in the technology of casting circular ingots of large diameter and optimum conditions for heat-treatment of those alloys under pressure, i.e., by methods of forging and stamping.
