Abstract : Vigilance, or monitoring behavior, has been of interest to researchers since World War 2. Research activity has not only continued over the past 25 years, but has increased at an ever progressing rate. This bibliography was compiled to meet the need for a continuing program of research into the problem associated with recovery from the classical vigilance decrement, and is presented with annotations in the hope that it will be of value to investigators in the field.
