Abstract : The paper first presents a result on the number of integer points in a parallelpiped. Using this result, a procedure is devised whereby a given polyhedral cone can be partitioned into subcones such that each of these my be paved by parallelpipeds containing one and only one integer point. Possible applications of these results in the integer programming area are given. (Author)
