Abstract : The paper contains a geometric discussion of the question of the determination of antipodal points, on a sphere, at which two continuous distributions are equalvalued. It indicates the possibility of mathematically determining the location of these points when the two distributions are represented by mathematical functions. It also points out the nature of the points: they might define a continuous geometric locus (a curve on the sphere), be isolated points, or both. (Author)
