Abstract : The disturbance field generated by a point source is obtained for steady, three dimensional, isentropic, magnetohydrodynamic flow. The flow is governed by the Lindquist equations linearized about constant velocity, matter density, and magnetic field. The flow is assumed to be hyperlipic, i.e., the negative of the free stream velocity lies within the fast wave front of the time-dependent characteristic surface but outside the two cusped slow wave fronts of this surface. There are both real and complex characteristics. (Author)
