Abstract : The authors previously described the modification of the esteratic activity of acetylcholinesterase by reaction with 1,1-dimethyl-2-phenylaziridinium ion (DPA). An increased hydrolysis of indophenyl acetate by this modified cholinesterase (DPA-enzyme) made it possible to examine its reaction with organophosphorus compounds and preliminary results were described. This work was continued, and the reactivation of phosphorylated DPA-enzyme was investigated. (Author)
