Abstract : The report contains a discussion of the third computation, ELK 40, of the free field and ground-motion and crater characteristics for Operation Distant Plain, Event 6. Th computation was begun with no settlement of the soil under the 100-ton source, but did include gravity-induced overburden. The report includes the equation-of-state models, the compared velocity versus time-history plots. (Author)
