Abstract : Trained unanesthetized dogs were exposed to brief, 10-second, positive acceleration on the 8-foot animal centrifuge at the Naval Air Development Center, Warminster, Pa. Both the amplitude of the T-wave of the left ventricular surface electrocardiogram and left circumflex coronary artery blood flow velocity decreased during headward acceleration. Post acceleration hyperemia occurred as T-wave amplitude returned to normal. (Author)
