Abstract : Effects of side grooves, grain structure, and thickness on the growth behavior of stress-corrosion cracks in double cantilever beam (DCB) specimens of aluminum alloys are discussed briefly. Problems encountered in testing DCB specimens from aluminum die forgings are also discussed. (Author)
