Abstract : Attempts have been made since the mid 1940's at determining the radiation fields from nuclear weapons. Earlier attempts were experimental in nature with the efforts in the first few years being mostly calculational. A review of the progress that has been made in the past few years, the information that is currently available, and approaches to solving the problem of determining the detailed radiation field description is given.
