Abstract : A group of 225 conventional mice was obtained from a commercial breeder and because of an unidentified diarrhea and some death loss (7 mice), the remainder were sacrificed. At necropsy the livers of 49 of these mice contained cysts of Cysticercus fasciolaris. After consulting the breeder it was found that these mice had been exposed to some neighborhood cats that had gained entry to their facility via the waste conveyer system. (Author)
