Abstract : From the behavior of the positions of electronic Raman transitions of the trivalent terbium ion of TbAlG as function of an external magnetic field (Zeeman-Raman effect), the energy of four of the lowest-lying electronic states of the split septuplet F(6) manifold has been determined.
