Abstract : Extracts from a biomass forming during the thermophilic methane fermentation of molasses-grain acetone-butyl spent grains, contain substances having a capacity for acceleraating the growth and increasing the accumulation for mycelium and increasing the cellulolytic activity of the fungus Trichoderma viride, a producer of cellulase. The addition of extracts of this biomass or a preparation of KMB-12 (dried whole culture fluid, obtained in the methane fermentation of spent grains) to nutrient media makes it possible to shorten the time required for the cultivation of the fungus, necessary for the accumulation of the maximum quantity of cellulosolytic ferment and to increase considerably the ensymatic activity of the culture field.
