Abstract : The increase in interest by the Navy and other organizations in placement of structures on the seafloor necessitates establishing site parameters relevant to such construction, and equipment for measuring these parameters. Included in this report are the site parameters significant to designing, constructing, operating, and maintaining a seafloor structure; an outline of the site survey procedure; the equipment available for conducting these site surveys; and data handling and reduction techniques. Also included are recommendations for research required prior to placement of structures and equipment.
