Abstract : A cryogenic life support system utilizing liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen was designed, fabricated and tested. The system performs the following life support functions: (1) supplies breathing oxygen; (2) provides space heating; (3) converts carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide. System testing was performed in Sealab Deck Decompression chamber (DDC) at Airco Cryogenics and submerged tests were performed in Sealab I -STEP at United States Navy Mine Defense Laboratory (USN MDL) Panama City, Florida.
