Abstract : An integral equation formulation of the equations of linear elasticity is used to examine the interfacial stress and displacement components for a single fiber in an infinite matrix and for an infinite array of fibers. The composite is under uniaxial tension. A theory for calculating composite elastic modulis also deve-loped. The fibers are of finite length with results restricted to aspect ratio 1. (Author-PL)
