Abstract : The effects of moisture and humidity factors on outbreaks of yellow wheat rust are examined. An attempt is made to clarify which quantitative relationships of weather conditions determine disease development. A hydrothermal coefficient is derived which serves as a reliable guide for use in the determination and mapping of areas subject to intensive wheat damage. (Author)
