Abstract : A three-dimensional velocity profile for laminar flow in a rectangular duct with two parallel porous walls was developed analytically. The Navier-Stokes equations were solved, assuming an appropriate stream function. The final equation to be solved is a fourth-order nonlinear partial differential equation. The analysis demonstrates the successful use of the perturbation method to solve three-dimensional nonlinear incompressible flow problems. (Author)
