Abstract : Problems associated with creating superconducting and cryogenic electrode transmission lines are examined. Attention is devoted to selecting the type of current and line (cable) design. Special attention is devoted to the technical-economical and physicotechnical questions which play a decisive role in the structure and designing of superconducting and cryogenic lines. Cryogenic schemes are described which can guarantee precooling of the cables and maintenance of the working temperature during its operation. Prospects for the development of electric machines (motors, generators) with a superconducting winding are analyzed, along with superconducting energy accumulators. (Author)
