Abstract : Two correlated-job measures were compared with the work-sample criterion developed for the General Vehicle Repairman in earlier HumRRO research. Thirty organizational mechanics who had been subjects in the earlier study were given paper-and-pencil tests for their Military occupational specialty. Later they were given the Metropolitan Achievement Test, in order to determine the relation between reading level and performance of the written and work-sample tests. Three peer ratings were obtained for each subject. Statistical analysis was performed to compare the validity and reliability of these two measures with the work-sample criterion. (Author)
