Abstract : A conceptual model was previously developed which determines optimum quantities of spare repairable components to speed the rework of Navy aircraft. That model was subjected to a full-scale test for the A-6 aircraft which is reworked at the Naval Air Rework Facility at Norfolk, Virginia. The report describes the test, summarizes test results, describes the model, and recommends a policy for authorizing spare repairable components. (Author)
