Abstract : The aim of the work was to investigate the microstructure and magnetic properties of some internally oxidised ferromagnetic alloys. Such systems consist of a dispersion of fairly stable and inert oxide particles surrounded by a ferromagnetic metal matrix. Ideally they are suitable for use in the tests of theories of magnetic domain well--precipitate interaction coercivity and for use as mechanically stabilised 'soft' ferromagnetic material in high temperature applications.
