Abstract : At the present time, several types of radar reflections in the cm range in the absence of hydrometeors are well known. These include the following: (1) a discrete - coherent radioecho; (2) reflection from inversion layers; (3) reflection from layers with aerosol; reflection from zones of turbulence. This article considers a series of questions concerning the sources of reflections of each type and the peculiarities of the appearance of such signals. (Author)
