Abstract : The specific projects studied were the following: Integration methods for solution of the large systems of nonlinear ordinary differential equations that result from description of the transient behavior of digital computer switching circuits; Solution of large sparse systems of simultaneous linear equations that result from description of the quiescent (static) and transient behavior of nonlinear circuits; Effects of equation formulation on numerical solution; and, the Use of new sensitivity calculation methods to (1) optimize the design of gate-sized switching circuits, and (2) improve model accuracy of semiconductor devices.
