Abstract : The validity of the Lyamshev-Salosina method of obtaining a universal curve of turbulence pressures in dimensionless parameters is verified, on the whole, by applying it to several sets of available data. The method introduces a correction to include the effect of the boundary-layer displacement thickness as well as the transducer size. Based on this confirmation, a more accurate formulation is proposed for mathematical models representing the observed pressure statistics. Then, using the Maestrello original formulation for the observed pressure statistics and the revised formulation developed, computer results (Option 1) are compared for both the power spectrum of the turbulent wall pressures and for the mean square of the displacements. Finally, the general effect of transducer size on the pressure model and corresponding vibroacoustic response is analytically investigated. (Author)
