Abstract : The solubilities of gases at various temperatures and pressures in the following gas-liquid binary systems were investigated: Gaseous ammonia (NH3) in liquid hydrazine (N2H4), in monomethylhydrazine (MMH,N2H3CH3), and in unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine (UDMH, 1, 1-N2 H2(CH3)2); gaseous carbon monoxide (CO) in liquid UDMH; gaseous sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) in liquid MMH, and in dinitrogen tetroxide (N2O4); and gaseous carbon dioxide (CO2) in N2O4. The solubilities of NH3 were found to obey Henry's law in the range of about 0 to 0.20 mole fraction. All other gases are much less soluble than NH3 and obey Henry's law at all concentrations. For each liquid, the standard Gibbs energy of solution of each gas has been expressed as a function of absolute temperature. (Author)
