Abstract : The biological resistance of methylcellulose and cyanoethylated fabrics to various fungi species was investigated. Test specimens were placed in sterile test tubes with a mineral culture and were innoculated with suspensions of cellulose-decomposing fungi. The resistance of the specimens to fungi decomposition is shown in tabular form as a function of the gamma value and pH of the culture. Cotton fabric was used as a control. The experiments show that the biological resistance of the treated cellulose increases as nitrogen content increases. (Author)
