Abstract : The report presents the results of experimental research on the antifriction properties of solid lubricants of disulfides and diselenides of transition metals at high temperatures in air, nitrogen, and argon media under both normal pressure and in a vacuum. The solid lubricants tested were obtained by the interaction of powders of corresponding metals with sulfur or selenium in a current of hydrogen sulfide or hydrogen selenide. For comparison with synthetic solid lubricants, a real (natural) molybdenum disulfide was also used. (Author)
