Abstract : Simultaneous recordings of signals from two synchronous satellites spaced a few degrees in longitude are analyzed for scintillation, and deductions made about inosphere irregularities. The total electron content (TEC) of the ionosphere is measured by means of a polarimeter whose operation is described. The most distinctive feature found is a marked oscillation of the TEC in the post-sunset period. (Author)
