Abstract : A physical model for a mechanism by which a flux of neutrons can enhance the creep rate of a material leads to a creep rate which is linear in stress. The radiation-induced climb of dislocations or dislocation loops is biased by a small applied stress. At steady state, the density of climbing dislocations depends on the generation rate of point defects. The model leads to a creep rate which may be almost independent of temperature. (Author)
