Abstract : The motivation and development of the contract is discussed and the most important results are summarized. They fall into four groups: Fundamental quantum-mechanical and thermodynamical limitations of data processing and the impact of these limitations upon the realization of algorithms, in particular algorithms of self-organization, artificial intelligence, tree search, etc.; The simulation of biological evolution and its connection with optimization and self-organization; The development of efficient non-local optimization algorithms and the application of these optimization algorithms to various practical problems: the solution of systems of non-linear algebraic equations in many variables, analysis of spectra with non-linear superposition, and non-linear systems identifications.
