Abstract : The hydrostatic bilateral thrust bearing containing a sleeve with two supporting disks and a ring rigidly attached to the housing and installed between them, along with chambers for delivering the working fluid, is distinguished by the fact that in order to simplify the construction the ring has a circular central recess on its internal surface, while on the flat surface there are annular bosses which form working chambers with the supporting disks; the working chambers are connected with the recess by a silt-like cavity formed by the wall of the ring and the surface of the bushing. The recess is connected with the opening for supplying fluid which is built into the housing. The bearing is distinguished by the fact that in order to facilitate assembly and disassembly of the bearing on the shaft the sleeve is made as a built-up unit in the form of rings which fit against one another and make up the supporting disks.
