Abstract : Mine Under and Mine Ore were two events of the high explosive Mine Shaft series sponsored by DASA. Each event was concerned with the detonation of a 100-ton sphere of TNT. The primary objectives were to study cratering, ejecta, and ground shock effects. Secondary objectives were the studies of air-blast effects, dust cloud physics, and the response of selected structures in the vicinity. The calculations were performed on Physics International's ELK code. (Author)
