Abstract : The influence of the different in-plane boundary conditions on the buckling loads of clamped conical shells under external pressure are studied with the displacement method developed earlier by Baruch, Harari and Singer. The analysis is based on Donnell type stability equations with a membrane solution for the prebuckling stresses. (Author)
