Abstract : The main topic of this paper is the relationship between the variations of the radiation fluxes and the albedo at an observation-place on the north-west slope of the ice cap at an altitude of 1.3 km above M.S.L. and at a distance of ca 10 km from the margin of the ice cap. The radiation climate is described by means of measurements with the Angstrom pyrhelliometer, two standard models of pyranometers (Eppley and Moll-Gorczynski), the Beckman + Whitley net radiometer and also photo-cells in combination with filters. The photo-cells are used for determinations of the albedo, the penetration of light into the snow pack, and the intensity of light from different parts of the sky. (Author)
