Abstract : Linear correlation of wind speeds between five locations in South Vietnam was accomplished for the summer of 1967. The study was done to determine if fewer observation sites could provide wind-speed information that would be representative of the area, with sufficient accuracy for the U. S. Army Artillery's needs. Results showed that although many significant correlations were determined, the unexplained variance was too great to allow this approach for use by the artillery, although other wind-speed users might find it acceptable.
