Abstract : A discussion is given of the methods for computing transonic flows with imbedded shock waves. Time dependent techniques, relaxation methods and approximate solutions are considered with emphasis placed on the latest developments. More details are given on the relaxation methods than other techniques. Computing times, accuracy, and proper treatment of shock waves are stressed. (Author)
