Abstract : In the Electromagnetic pulse forming (EMPF) program, several points of interest were investigated. Among these were the following: Behavior of photoelastic coatings in the presence of rapidly changing magnetic fields; Change in properties of adhesives and reflective coatings in magnetic fields; Technique of photoelastic measurement during the high transitory rate of the changing field; Correlation of data between strain gauges and photoelastic measurement in changing magnetic fields; and Technique of recording the measurements.
