Abstract : Considered is the boundary-value problem the second derivative of x with respect to t = f(t,x,dx/dt), x(0) = a, the absolute value of x(t) < const, 0 = or < t < infinity. An approximate method is proposed for finding a solution on the basis of approximation of the given problem by a boundary-value problem on a finite interval and of using the asymptotics of the exact solution as t approaches infinity.
